1. Be Real
Qallak is for real people having real conversations.
- One account, your own face. Profiles use your real photos and pass selfie verification. Impersonating anyone — a celebrity, an ex, a fictional person — ends your account.
- Your age is your age. Qallak is strictly 18+. Lying about age is an instant, permanent ban.
- No bots, no businesses. Accounts exist to connect, not to sell, promote, or farm engagement.
2. Be Kind
- No harassment. When someone stops replying, that's an answer. Repeated unwanted contact, insults, or pressure — in any language — is harassment.
- No hate. Attacks on ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or origin have no seat at this table. This includes "jokes."
- Rejection is allowed; cruelty is not. You can decline anyone for any reason. You cannot mock, shame, or dogpile them for it.
3. Debate Well
Daily debates exist to connect people who disagree — that only works with good faith.
- Attack the argument, never the person.
- Political and religious topics deserve extra care, not extra volume.
- If a debate turns hostile, leave it — the panic and report tools are one tap away.
4. Respect the Table
- Hosts set the topic; guests respect it. Derailing a table repeatedly gets you removed.
- What's said at the table stays there. Screenshotting private conversations to shame someone publicly is a bannable offense.
- Panic responsibly. The panic button protects people in real distress. False reports to sabotage a table are treated as abuse.
5. Never Allowed
Zero tolerance, first offense, no appeals for:
- Sexual content involving minors, or any contact with minors.
- Non-consensual intimate images or threats to share them.
- Scams, financial fraud, or romance fraud of any kind.
- Selling or promoting drugs, weapons, or illegal services.
- Threats of violence, on or off the platform.
6. Consequences
Enforcement is graduated but firm:
- Warning — a first, minor violation gets a written warning on the account.
- Feature limits — repeated issues suspend tables, debates, or messaging.
- Suspension — serious violations pause the whole account while we review.
- Permanent ban — zero-tolerance violations, or three strikes of anything else. Bans include device and payment identifiers, not just the account.
7. Reporting
Every profile, message, and table has a report option. Reports are anonymous — the person reported never learns who reported them. For urgent safety issues, email support@qallak.com with "URGENT" in the subject.
If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first: 991 (police, Ethiopia) or 907 (Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association hotline).
