Safety Tips
Connecting with new people is exciting, but your physical safety is the absolute priority. Follow these essential guidelines when interacting on the Qallak platform and taking your connections in-person.
1. Keep Personal Info Private
Never share sensitive details like your home address, work address, or daily routine early in a conversation. Qallak does not require you to expose your phone number or email to match or start virtual Buna chats. Keep your communication on the platform until you trust the other person completely.
2. Always Meet in Public
When meeting a match for the first time, arrange to meet in a busy, public location (such as a popular local café, mall, or restaurant). Avoid meeting at private homes or isolated locations. Do not rely on your match to transport you; arrange your own transport to and from the meeting spot.
3. Inform a Friend or Family Member
Before you leave for a date, tell someone you trust exactly where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return. Keep your phone charged and coordinate a check-in text with a friend during the date.
Community Guidelines
We believe in maintaining an authentic, respectful space. By using Qallak, you agree to respect these community rules. Failure to comply can result in temporary suspension or permanent account deletion.
Authentication & Profile Completion
To ensure high quality matching and eliminate fake accounts, Qallak requires all active members to maintain an 80%+ profile completion score. This includes filling out bio sections, adding clear profile photos, and answering initial debate questions.
Selfie Verification Shield
Qallak encourages all users to request a Selfie Verification badge. Verified users must upload a live selfie that matches their profile photos. Verified profiles display a blue shield badge. We recommend prioritizing matches with verified users.
Zero Tolerance Policies
- No Harassment: We do not tolerate hate speech, bullying, extortion, or intimidation of any kind.
- No Scamming / Solicitation: Do not use Qallak to sell goods, solicit money, request donations, or share commercial links.
- Underage Restriction: You must be 18 years of age or older to register an account on Qallak.

Server Validation
All sensitive operations (including match generation, Buna chat authorizations, and account audits) are validated server-side on Vercel's secure architecture. Token keys are encrypted, and we strictly enforce rate limiting to prevent spam bots.
Firestore Rules
Qallak uses comprehensive database security rules. Users can only write messages to chat rooms where they are authorized members, and user profile data is protected against raw client-side scraping.
Reporting & Support
If you encounter inappropriate behavior, reporting it helps protect the entire community.
How to Block or Report a User
You can block or report any profile directly in the app. Blocking a user removes them from your feed and closes any active chat slots immediately. Once reported, our administration team will review the logs, verification history, and activity scores to make a final moderation decision.
